About me
& this site
I am many things,
a minister, a runner, a husband, an uncle, a friend... I have been a minister in the United Church since June 2007. One of the joys of ministry is the slow savouring moments when I can sit with scripture, think about my congregation, and feel creativity flowing through me. Theologian Matthew Fox wrote in his powerful book Original Blessing: "Creation is an ongoing as we are; as vast as our experience of it. It is in us and we in it; it is us and far beyond us." I am grateful for the people that inspire creativity in me, for the shared resources of colleagues, the inspirations of poets and artists, and the moments of awe that I find all around me whether it is sitting on the floor playing with my nephews, running in the forest or back roads around my home, or in my ministry. The intention of this page is to add my little piece to the creative mixture all around us. Please feel free to use the written work you find here in your church or in you life. I hope that it inspires you to create. If you use my work please, unless otherwise noted or given permission, do not change the wording or the theology of what you find here but please correct any spelling mistakes. Also, if you find something helpful why not send me an e-mail to let me know. May you experience the ongoing artistry of creation and the blessings of life, Micol Rev. Micol I.
